Dear you did a mistake. Before installing a genuine copy of windows xp, you should have removed previous one.
If you have another partition, try to install window in that so while bootup, it will ask which window to load. Otherwise, format your hard drive as it will remove everything from your laptop and reinstall the genuine copy of xp. If you dont want to format as there may be great amount of data and you may not be able to take whole backup then remove everything except your data folders. Remove windows folder, program files folder etc. Then have a fresh xp installed on your laptop.

Boot from Windows XP CD and format ur C Drive And install New coppy of winXP

Try reinstalling again...probably a corupted video driver, or you can try downloading the latest drivers from your laptop manufacturer then start windows xp and as it boots press F5 or F8 (f5 will be auto safe mode, f8 is the boot menu) and install the new drivers.

ur question is not clear plz tell me more i can help u by any way its highlly recomended to install ur new windows in a partion free hdd by removing what ever in ur hdd (i mean partetions) and tell me more im online for 1 houre id like to help its my jop
