When making end notes do you use the same format as a bibliography?

What I mean is:
Can you use the way you'd reference a book and just tack it on as an end note?

Use of endnotes (or footnotes) depends on the writing style you are using. The formatting is basically the same, but the endnote does not contain as much information as a bibliography or "works cited" page.
