It is considered a "science" degree at most schools, but the profession is a combination of both. I would agree --more art than science.

I did it for about 15 years, and it is an art.
I managed engineers and technicians.
You have to keep their energy level up in a 24/7 environment.
One year I took 3 days off, total.
If they were there, I was there.
We won!
