I used to do that. Its called freeze modelling. I remember one particular occasion....it was a few girls and I...all posed. Solid and quiet as can be up on a podium. This woman and her husband stood there and starred at us and she said "oh I almost thought they were real" and they went back and forth trying to decide if we were real or not lol I guess some people just cannot figure it out although you'd think no matter what they could tell if we were real... Crowds usually get a kick out of it

Um, I'm not sure if this would be helpful, but I did that for about a half hour in a crowded mall. I can't say what I looked like exactly, but I can say that most of the people who passed either a) raised their eyebrows and tried to figure out what I was doing b) laughed and waited for me to blink or move or c) tried to figure out if i was some sort of super detailed new mannequin.
I'm not sure what you need this information for, but anyway, it certainly attracted alot of attention.

yes i have!!! first time was when mac had a boy and a girl dancing in the window all dolled up as poll dancers and the crowds were going crazy for the girl!! she was blowing the guys kisses and stuff. The second time was for the UCD fashion show and we had some of our models posing as manaquins in the windows and they changes their position every few minutes. it looked really rood and the crowds loved it too!! We also had a runway set up in the middle of Grafton Street and had our models runway walking on it and yet again, the crowds loved it. It is a great idea but go as flambouyant and OTT as you can with their outfits!!

YES!!! It was at a Toronto Guess store.
I looked at her twice; I thought the "mannequin" looked really realistic and when she changed poses, I turned away. I don't think anyone else noticed, because she was behind the glass of the store front window.

Yes - At the Macy's at the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, New JUersey.
They would stand in the aisles, and occaisionally they would move. At first I thought that they were real mannequins, but then I saw them move.
It's pretty weird.

haha yeah, once in front of a dress shop. there were little kids in the window in front of them waving and stuff trying to make them laugh. it was pretty funny. otherwise everyone just ignored them pretty much. if you're not looking at the store already, you don't really notice that they're real people instead of mannequins... unless of course they were moving.

yes, they were wearing summer clothes and they were sitting down on the beach looking like they were having fun and relaxing. People walking buy would look at them and it is actually a really cute idea as long as the models are dressed appropriately and they are doing appropiate things.

Yes -
The crowd mostly ignored them.
They looked like manequins except that they moved occasionally

Yes and some people stop and look at them....so children or teenagers try to make them laugh or make a seen around them....but mostly people just walk right by them.
