I cannot understand why people go on talk shows to sort out their problems instead of just talking to each other!! Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?

Totally agree but you know what, I think part of the problem is people don't know HOW to communicate any more.
Listen to people in the street - shouting, yelling etc

Why someone would want to air their dirty laundry, I do not know. I don't understand why a woman would go on a show and have 15 guys take paternity tests just to find out that none of them are the father.

Some shows I do understand. I think the point is that other people are going through the same thing and they want to help others while getting help for themselves.

They do it for the 15 minutes of fame, and to let everyone out there know what they're going through, honestly i think its ridiculous, most of the stuff on them are probably made up.

The main reason is really for public entertainment, especially in UK, they have talk shows on all day, because they have nothing better to show.

These kind of people going on talk shows, actually have nothing new to offer to their audiences, they just quotes what others before them has said, or interpreted what other person has recorded speeched and emphasising others prospectives. As those of a political issues.
They simply don't care what you think, but in contrast they pretend that you would listen to whatever they have to say.

I think most of the chat shows are staged and fake-like the Jerry Springer show.

Ah who knows why idiots decide to make fools of themselves on national television in front of millions of viewers each day? I suppose that's just one of life's little mysteries.

They can't afford the DNA tests to see who the baby's father is, so they make Maury or Jerry Springer pay for it.

I have no idea why they do it either, who wants to air their dirty linen in public for goodness sake, surely they can sit down at home and talk things through.
