I am part of a theatre production and the cast and crew are raising about $60.00 (american.) to buy a present for the director and a present for the costume designer...both deserve really good gifts...the director is a male south-african of about 40 years of age...he's really fun but i dont wanna get him something impractical...i want something he'd treasure...the costume designer is a british female of about 65 years of age...we've agreed to get flowers for her but we need a gift that isnt flowers or chocolate or food...any ideas? reply with as many ideas as possible please...

for the director give her a gift card for a massage thats what we gave our director and she was really excited, happy, and apreciative.

you all can have a meeting with both of them and say each of you few good lines about them (why u like them) individually.
and at the end make a circle and give them best wishes. This is apart from what u have planned to give flowers and chocketles.

You're theatre people, no?
Surprise them by putting on a show tailored just for them!
Make them laugh hard.
That memory would be the best gift for the both of them.

as a present, my drama club ussually signs a big shirt or poster and a thank u letter and u could also get them a gift card or a picture

since you are in thetre and i am in thetre too i recomend that you find out what thier favorite play is and give them a copy of the playin like a hardcover bound copy of it .. something nice and they would ba able to cherish it for all time!

You could give him an african statue, since u said he was from south african and he might appreciate it
