I think your body isn't agreeing to the Depo. Go and see the Dr for advice, it may just be that it needs more time to settle but I really think you should try something else, it must be such a pain to have that every week. I have been on the Depo for years and must say I can't remember ever having that, in fact I have no periods at all which is great for me. Definitely go to the Dr to find out what is going on.

I can tell you that it is very dangerous form of birth control. I used it for 7 years and it was very difficult for me to hold onto any preganancy. The lining of the uterus is thinned. It is a dream not to have to have a period, but in the long run, if you want to conceive, I'd stop now... Call your doctor if yu have questions. Good luck...

That does not sound right. I know at the beginning its like that on and off on and off, but for 6 weeks that does not sound right. Go see you doctor or at least phone the docor's or gynea's office and ask the secretary - sometimes they just put you through to the doctor and he talks to you over the phone.

I've been researching, and writing on, Nutrition and Health for over 30 years. Hormone forms of contraceptives deplete nutrients such as magnesium and zinc - which in turn messes up the monthly cycle. See on my web site:- http://www.foodforthought.org.uk/specific_probs.htm#Women - follow the links for more information.

Perhaps it is a side effect of the depot injection. But it's certainly not normal! You MUST go to your GP about this. And it must be a real pain and inconvenience to you too you poor thing!

This is not normal, you need to see your doctor. Your bodys hormonal system is totally out of whack and needs to be regulated again. It's not good to lose that much blood. maybe someting is wrong with your uterus, please go and see the doc.
