I had asked a similar question on yahoo answers a few days ago.
IE7 is pants!!
So i tried to un-install it but not all all the components were deleted and the program interfered with my whole computer, it even ended up blocking me from opening many of my admin folders on my comp.
(Hopefully you wont have the same problem)
I ended up having to reinstall and un-installing the program many times in the hope that something good would come of it, which it eventually did. I am using IE7 and my computer is running fine now with no hitches as of yet.
You probably need to adjust most of the settings, maybe the phishing filter is restricting access to the page so you need to select the allow page option in that menu.

Delete IE7, and go to an earlier restoration point. Return to IE6. Your problems will cease, and your E-mail will return.
