I would think all restaurants would be open today, Friday November 24th!

1) Shapiros Deli (http://www.shapiros.com/) 808 S. Meridian Street. Cross between a cafeteria and a deli. Excellent pastrami and corned beef!

2) Eh! Formaggio Pizzaria (http://www.ehformaggio.com/) 30 E. Georgia St. (next to Conseco Fieldhouse). New York style pizzia from a native New Yorker, C.I.A. graduate. Everything is made fresh on the premises, including the mozzarella.

3) Giorgio's Pizza, 9 E. Market Street (just off the Circle). Excellent New York style slices and other Italian goodies. I like the thin and crispy crust but they also have the thick Sicilian style crust.

4) Yat's (http://www.yatscajuncreole.com/) 659 Massachusetts Ave. Great Cajun/Creole restaurant. Entrees are served over rice for $5, or you can get a combination of 2 entrees for $6.

5) See this article (http://www.indystar.com/articles/9/115287-2769-P.html) for some neighborhood places that are worth checking out. Note that only Ralph's Great Divide is downtown (about 7 blocks east of Meridian St. on New York St.). The others will require a car or a cab to get to.

I am wondering the same thing. i live on the soutside, and want to get a dinner for me and my cat. Denny's used to be open, I am going to see if 8 lucky Buffet is open on 31 south. I also thought about trying to find a soup kitchen, and give a few dollars for a dinner.
