Specifically, I want to know what the most wanted toys, gadgets, films, music were. Anything that you would have perhaps wanted to swap something of yours for these most wanted goods.

Panini football stickers were really popular as it was a football World Cup year (see Link 1).

The latest issue of the Commodore 64 was released in 1986 (see Link 2) and was its last hurrah. The far sexier NES Nintendo system had been released in early 1986 and was wiping the floor with its competitors (see Link 5).

Music-wise the Beatles released their "White Album" at Christmas 1986 (see Link 3).

The children's book "The Polar Express" by Chris van Allsburg had been released the previous year and was still selling well (see Link 4).

In the movie world, one of the worst ever films in the history of mankind "Howard the Duck" had people queuing round the block to see just how awful it actually was.

What kind of "possessions" are you talking about.... ?

is this the kind that a person is taken over by an entity?

or the kind of thing that a person owns as in possession.....

Just go back and "edit" the question for clarification.....
