Good question. That's why I'm on Yahoo Answers right now. I can't sleep. I'm thinking about chugging down a fifth of Ny-Quil.

I did have trouble sleeping for a while...

I found that a Lavender and Cedarwood oil mix worked - either in an oil burner in the bedroom or 2 drops on a tissue under my pillow.

Also a long relaxing bath just before bed, I used to put a couple of drops of the oil mix into the bath water, really soothing..

;-)

Insomniac huh? I sleep 4 hours a night and that's it. I consider myself lucky seeing as how others dint sleep at all. I have tried hot baths, herbal teas, Tylenol PM, it all worked until my body became immune. I finally had to go to the Doc. That didn't help either. I wish I had an answer but each person is different, and you just have to figure out what works for you.

I hate to say this but having an orgasm right before bed relaxes too!

I do have trouble sleeping and am currently taking a tea with valerian and melatonin(but not every night) before bed.
I resist sleep and I have a body clock that's,more or less, geared to staying up late at night and sleeping a little later. I'm more awake at 2 am than I am at 2pm. This is what the melatonin helps me with. Valerian's a mild sedative.

I use an other the counter sleep aid like tylenol PM takes about 1 1/2 hrs to work, but once it kicks in i sleep all night and wake up rested and refreshed. i've had insomina off and on for about 3 years now, mostly as part of my PMS routine lol, and this has been a life saver for me!
