The most important thing in color is the contrast with your skin. In the night we lack light, so bright colors are the best. If you are white choose medium bright colors. If you are dark wear light bright coldors or bright white. What kind of shirt depends on the rest of your outfit, pants...this advice is for both sexes.

OK - if you were going out with me then i would say this;

If you are a 'manly man' i.e muscles, sure of yourself and VERY confident then wear someting Yellow not BRIGHT yellow, a pale but nice yellow!

If you are the more reserved type i'd go for a nice white top (with sleeves), big cuffs and collar (NOT stuck up so you look like your a pimp!)
Make the cuffs subtle BUT large.

If you want to wear something a little less formal then go for a casual shortsleeved top, small collar (like a polo shirt rather than a t - shirt) maybe 2/3 buttons on the front perhaps in green (again - pale green as these pale colours are good this season!

NO tie - your not going to a ball - your out getting drunk and having a good time and trying to feel at ease!!!

Good luck hunny!!! xxxx

Long sleeved looks more classy than short sleeved. Tucked in with tie and not tucked in without tie but I think the no tie look looks more relaxed.
As for colour, I say all shades of purple looks good for a men's complexion, regardless of skin colours. It is subtle, romantic and sophisticated. Olive green is also good for after work clothes. Blue reminds people too much of office clothes. Pink is going out of fashion, except in certain parts of London. Cerise is definitely a No-no for guys. All black is too much like someone from the Triads but black with subtle patterns or a bit of grey is also suitable for going to bars. If you are feeling daring, you could try those Boden floral patterned shirts but they don't always go with other outfits and they are also a bit pricey..

Unless you live in a warm climate, short sleeves are a little too casual to wear on a night out. You can't go wrong with a black dress shirt and maybe a classy silk tie if you want to look dressier.

no tie, short sleeve shirt, don't tuck in and depending on what you look like you should have thin stripes down only never across or a faint patten. or plain would be ok. with black trousers white, or light blue is nice. black looks good but a lot of people wear black at the moment.

Well, I'd stick to short sleeve, no tie, not tucked in.

Colour: I personally wouldn't be seen dead in pink, but that's my view. I like blues, dark reds and greens, and also the classic black (grey/white patterning). White's also good.

I think a man looks great in a new crisp white long sleeved shirt not tucked in, quite fitted not baggy ! Also black looks trendy

What looks good nowadays are those shirts with different coloured collars and tucked into your Y fronts with the top of your pants showing.

Make sure that your pants are off-white though.
