The day I noticed my 6 month old daughter, sitting on the floor, eating an ice cube my son must have dropped, I realized the futility of warming & sterlizing bottles at age.
But I still slightly warmed them if coming straight out of the fridge, after all, breast milk is always warm.
Try it room temperature first, if he still likes it, then you can try it colder.

Depends on the baby. My oldest would drink room temp or even cold formula!!! My youngest would only drink really warm formula until he was almost 2 (I gave one bottle a day after a year). Everything else could be room temp. When we would go on road trips I had to keep the bottles warm and we even had to stop at some restuarants so they could microwave the bottle!!! I know that I like to eat my dinner hot.

There is no real reason to warm the milk, yes breastmilk is warm but that doesnt mean it HAS to be warm. My nephew would only take a bottle if it had ice cubes in it. Yes, literally! That was when he was about 2 months old on, he had a fever and the doctor suggested it to cool him down and once he tried it he never went back. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen done to a bottle

Where r ur maternal instincts? Have u ever breast fed? When does the breast milk ever come out cold? U r a grandmother asking this type of question, makes me wonder what kind of mother u were and what ur kids r into today. These r a babies molding yrs. and u should not be lazy ever to stop warming their bottle until they give it up. Warm milk or formula actually helps put the baby to sleep. U'll find out ur reaching maturity and will find out that a glass of warm milk before bedtime will do wonders. Ur day is coming granny.

I didn't stop warming up the bottle right away. They need that until they are one year old by then they will be able to finger food and drink regular, cold milk. The person you really should ask is your doctor(baby doctor-family doctor) considering she/he have had children.

i have a 20 month old girl and i still warm her bottle because the body uses alot of energy to get the temp of the liquid to body temp. also if you give a baby a cold drink it can also cause tummy upsets.

If he will drink it cold then give it cold. It's all in the babies preference. It doesn't have to be warm.
