I haven't...yet...Next week I'm going to start, I've got 3 kids to buy for (of my own) plus 8 neices and nephews on my hubby's side, and 14 on my side (my sister had a little girl yesterday, making it her 5th!).
That's not including pressies for friends, parents, etc..I'm slowly going mad....Is this what Christmas is all about?..ARRRGGGHHH!! ( no religious comments please, as I do know the true meaning of Christmas!)

I only have one more thing to get then i am done. Luckily my kids are all older now so don't expect to receive as much as they did when they were little. We made a rule when the kids were little that we would only buy for the children and not the adults as it is a very expensive time anyway. Everyone agreed and we all did the same, Obviously we still bought for family but not for friends, i know this might make me sound mean but its a lot more fun watching the kids faces on Christmas morning.

Yes all done in the Summer sales when everything was a lot cheaper. Buy all the wrapping paper and cards for next Christmas in the sales after because again its so much cheaper. Also you will probably be sending unique cards as they are last years design!

I have most of the gifts I need. Advice: try to make your own gifts. For instance, dry roses and make potpourri, and put in an organza bag with a ribbon for a lady. Bake ginger cookies and put in a nice pencil tin or bag for young ones. Be creative and use the internet for ideas. My gifts were cheap, like lavender soap, candle and bath salt which I will put in a nice box for my gran and secretary. It looks expensive but wasn't. And in January, visit the shops to buy Christmas paper and decorations at discount. Each month of the year buy a number of small gifts like soap, candles, handmade crafts, for a certain number of person. When it is Christmas, you'll have tonnes of gifts that didn't blow a hole in your wallet. Even our pets get gifts- pieces of dried meat we call biltong here in South Africa.

I started yesterday morning and I'm just about done. I'm doing most of my shopping online, so it makes it a lot easier. The hardest one to find stuff for is my boyfriend. He has everything!
