Halliburton is a parent company which owns a number of subsidiaries. Basically, it's a company that owns companies.
It's the same idea as a contractor when you are building a house. You can hire a carpenter and a plumber and an electrician and a decorator. Or, you can hire a single company that employs all those people and have them do the work. That single company is Halliburton.

Haliburton does many things, they clean up messes from the war,they also stabilize the ground that an oil well has been installed.President Clinton contracted Haliburtion and President Bush didnt feel the need to change them.Go to thier website and it tells you ther many jobs they do.
