The Burj Dubai is the tallest structure in the world and will be the tallest building once it is finished (it is not counted until it is finished) in 2009. There are plans already underway for an even taller skyscraper in Dubai, along with various other tall structures around the world, however often the ultimate height of these is kept secret to stop other buildings beating them. The final height of the Burj Dubai is still not publicly known.
