There was one. It was a BBC production in 2000 and featured Christopher Lee as the ghost story author M R James reading out some spooky tales.

Christopher Lee played M.R.James reciting his own ghost stories in 'Christopher Lee's Ghost Stories for Christmas' (BBC, 2000). I think it was released on video or dvd not just the soundtrack.

I actually thought it was narrated by Walter Zimmerman however after discussions with my friend I'll hesitantly put forward that 'yes' it is narrated by Christopher Lee.
