babe you are a bit naive!! You can very definately get pregnant have sex in any position even standing up. Having a shower after is not going to make any difference on the outcome!! I am assuming your friend did not use protection.
Buy a home tast they are under £10 for one. Or get her to her gp FAST. If she has not had a period for 5 months then she could be 5 months gone. She should be having regular antenatal care and needs a scan to check on the development of the baby!! Also if she is 5 months gone thay means she only has 4 months to prepare herself for motherhood!! She really needs to get herself seen to.
If she is not pregnant then she should still see her GP incase it is something else.
Please speak to your friend and get a test done!!!

My knee-jerk reaction is to be a smart-a** and say something obnoxious. However, your friend needs to go to her gynecologist immediately. It doesn't matter what position you have sex in, or whether or not you shower afterwards, sperm are called "little swimmers" for a reason! Even if she's not pregnant, which I doubt she's not, missing a period for 5 months should be alarming her to something! It could be some other type of medical problem that needs medical attention immediately. I hope she goes soon, and that all is well.

hey she could have an etopic pregnancy I did, I was 4months late had the sickness all like a normal pregnancy, did all pregnancy tests and ultra sounds everything showed up negative till they found the baby was still in my tube up by my ovarie i had to have an emergency operation which has left me with now 1 ovarie, and it can kill you, you can suffer sever internal bleeding if the bubs continues to grow so tell her to go to the doc if she hasn't yet got her period, and sweety what ever position ur in it can happen. but congrats if shes pregy :)
PS: and for all you people on here who pick at people because they want to know the answer to a question, that could posibly save their health, no matter how stupid you might think it is, I think your all self centered idiots. Grow up.

nope actually having sex while standing up is just another way to get pregnant. No matter how you have sex, if you don't use protection you will get pregnant, and I don't know why taking a shower afterwards would matter? it would not change anything, the water does not go inside your vagina and washes anything off, that does not matter at all. unprotected sex has baby consecuences, I hope your friend is doing alright but I think she should take a test.

I don't think it matters in what position you have sex in. And shower has nothing to do with it...
I think there's a good possibility that she is pregnant, why not try a home pregnancy test if she is ashamed to go to the doctor?

Whether standing up, on her head, back, front or whatever, the chance of becoming pregnant is there if you do not use contraception. It sounds to me like she is pregnant - has she not taken a test. She better be quick sorting herself now it sounds like she has got a baby to be thinking about. Encourage her to take a test !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats worst then that is when i witness a Russian man wearing a tampon on his forehead.. He stated he was proud to be a free American, His statement was admiral however I thought he was over doing it purchasing a box of freedom maxi pads.
