photo collection will do just fine, but you should bake some cakes for them. made it yourself. or if u cant bake cakes, u can try cookies or chocolates in cute shapes and wrappings.

my aunties do this and everytime i received them, i'm happy :D

Why don't you make your own words up by using each of your children's letters in there name with a picture of something they collect or interested.
SAMPLE-
J: jollie
O: organise
H: Happy
N: naughty but nice

This hour I am only guessing but this is an idea.
Or you could say something:

example
''John you are my eldest and then tell him about his birth and details then tell him what happened on his first birthday maybe with pictures then go up to start of school at 5 and so forth.
Memorable board with things they can show there kids in time to come or just to hang it on the wall as a centre piece.
I found photo albums are cheap at go-lo's and there large photo frames....
depending on there ages at present you could add there meaning of there name at the bottom of the frame from out of a baby's book.

You can get clocks made with there names on them for about $20.00?
What about beach towels made with there names on it?

As for large families I would buy the adults chocolate basket or a biscuite hamper so it can do 2 adults then just work on the kids.
Even make up your own hampers. You can buy cheap and tidy cane baskets at the salvos or Saint vicent that you can do up and then fill them with a mixture of things for all family members to share.
Cheap shops do sell good craft stuff and sometimes The Warehouse Shopping Center has great gift ideas.

Merry christmas and I wish you all the luck.

Oh even gift vouchers are a great idea from differant stores and you can spend as much or as little with these.

You are on the right track. If money is a problem a gift of love is always best. I would put together a photo collection of your kids but also include one or more of the particular person you are giving the gift to. Add a little history of that person's name. You can probably find that information on the Internet.
