Check out Hawkin's Bazaar - they have an amazing array of gifts from 50p upwards.

They do mail order / on-line ordering and also have lots of shops around the country.

Heres the link...

Good luck & happy shopping!

A few thoughts from a toy shop owner:

Magno-Man - starting to be huge across the country despite no media advertising - you'll get 3 for £5 on ebay and they will go down a storm. (I should know - I've sold around 600 of them in the last few weeks, mostly to 6-8 year old boys)

Floam - forget the big companies slapping each other on the back with their "christmas best sellers", Floam is easily the best selling toy this Christmas (just not sold at the major chains) - you can get a tub for £5 (or a bit cheaper if you shop around online) or a four pack to share for even more fun. Don't be tempted by the cheap nasty fakes, look for the genuine stuff.

Construction toys - most have small starter kits at around your price range - I would recommend Zoobs - they sell well in my shop and you can get the 15 piece set for £5 - £6

That's what 6 and 7 year old boys want when they come in at the moment (oh, and Doctor Who Battles In Time Cards, but that's not a great Christmas Gift).

Hope this helps

How about a scarf? Even if you haven't ever knit anything before, knitting is really easy to learn and one of the fastest ways to learn is a single-skein scarf - knit one row, purl one row, all the way to the end. A handmade gift, from the heart, that only costs the price of the skein you choose - anywhere from 5-7 dollars at Wal Mart. Merry Christmas!

my 6 year old loves hot wheels cars. they only cost £0.99 each, and there are hundreds of them. you can get them from woolies and other good toy shops.
you could also get some pens and paper set, my son loves to draw and colour in.
hope you all have a great xmas

I think boys love super heroes like Spider man, Super man and Batman...maybe dress-up costumes or toys of super heroes. I think most boys like spiderman best! Tescos do lots of kids toys for Christmas and they are usually bargains! think slippers/ PJ s or noisy toys!
