No. In order for the pushing to do anything, you must be having EXTREMELY strong contractions. The contractions are actually what pushes the baby out of the womb. The mother physically pushing down with her body just speeds up the process during labor. Best of luck!

I have been pregnant three times and no it will not hurt your baby when you go number 2. When I first was pregnant with my older son I thought the same question you did. Don't worry the body knows what it is doing. Part of natural course. If you still not getting the answer you really looking for always ask the doctor she/he knows.
