No, history is history, dead and gone for ever. However, similar events keep recurring because a lot of things (perhaps everything?) are cyclical in this universe!! Since there is a cause and effect universality, whenever similar causes come up cyclically, similar effects ensue.

History DOES repeat itself, in many, many ways. Though through the years, it repeats itself in a more modern way.

Life is a spiritual training school, History repeats its self until we "get" the lesson. There really is but one lesson. "God dwells within you as you", All things are but God expressing his vision of himself. there is but one root "sin" from which all others spring. Seeing duality instead of the unity of God in all things.

Yes! and it's only because humans are dumb and we are not able to learn from our mistakes( and i mean real mistakes , not forgetting to pay the rent , or getting an F at math class ) , and this will be our end someday...
