I would rather them leave without an explanation because if they feel that way then I guess they were not really my friend anyway.

1) I did that to a childhood friend several years ago.. because growing older, I felt out of place with this person's other friends. So I just drifted away without explanation.
2) Another friendship ended due to a business deal gone sour. I felt angry that he cut ties so abruptly without speaking to me, but then I thought.. what comes around goes around.
There's some consolation when my true friends tell me i'm not to blame about the second scenario. I would have liked a sit-down talk, but it was pretty obvious why we parted ways.. I just didn't think it could happen to one of my best friends.

I'd rather hear from them. I'm the type that needs closure. But, I'm also the type that doesn't like confrontation to hurtful relationships. I'd be the type to demand an explanation, but walk away without explaining. Maybe I need to change that.

Leave a note.
I don't like confrontation. Nor do I want a friend hanging around if they don't want to. I'd like to know why though, it's only fair.
Odds are a note will make them want to come and have the last word though, so it could get back and forth you said I said...
But if I received a clear note, indicating why they don't want to be a friend anymore... I'd take it in and try to respect thier wishes.
I'd like to think I would anyway.

I would like to be told why they want to be my friend. I'd hate to try and figure out why they walked out of my life without giving me an explanation.

I'd rather hear that ,I dont want to be wonder all the time ,it would make me nervous & uneasy so better to be explained.

I think the parting of ways should be mutual and civilized.Chances are you run into them again,and at least you know where each other stands.
