whats the point of us ( UK ) all being in europe when there is a rule for us and a rule for the rest of europe .. please see this link from the BBC before replying

The UK is in the EU for the same reason all the other countries are. They can't compete successfully on the world market by themselves, especially as other countries are creating trade agreements (NATO, OPEC, NAFTA, APIC, etc), so they need to unite to stay soluble.

At the end of WW2 1945 Europe discover all the freak of war.....
Europe is a place with many differences (language, religion, education, habits, and many other) but with the same history
We all Europeans reed Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, we all was territories of the roman empire e.t.c.
I can ask you EUROPEAN UNION. WHY NOT ?
e.g. I have seen the BBC article, do you think that any difference is en ought to stop the E.U. ?

Taxation (particularly excise taxes) is not one of the areas covered by the EU treaties. All you can do is buy your fags and booze on the grey/black market - once the hole in the Treasury's wallet gets large enough, they'll have to lower the taxes eventually (that's what happened in Sweden).

You can pay more in taxes, reduce your ability to make independent decisions as to what is best for your country and lose your identity. All that so they can try to build an economic superpower to compete with the US
