I am Planing to do some body work on my car soon. it needs it bad. i have all the tools to do the job and i can figure things out for myself most of the time. but before i begin i want to know if there is some tricks i could use while i refinish the paint on my car. right now its just primer. I know it has to be clean and grease free of course. how would i go about painting the roof with ease and would i paint one pannel at a time or the full legnth of the car?

i am in the army currently in iraq if i was really worrind about my health i wouldnt smoke and of course i would wear a resperator other then that i really dont care that the car is perfect. i would build me a make-shift paint booth for the time being with an exhaust fan and such my consern is tips not health

Don't paint the car by your self a pain room is needed or you will get little bubbles called fish eyes and the dust will make the car look like it is all ways dirty. so arm length stokes nice and even one side at a time do the roof first so the blow over does not stick to the hood and look out for runs and wear a mask the paint is a nasty thing to breath and you boogers will change color to

its ur decision, but id go to the pros for a paintjob... even little mistakes look funny and they are always noticable... good luck in iraq!=x

if you don't know where to start then dont - resprays can be tricky even for professional painters -plus without a proper booth you are seriuosly putting your health at risk-ie.iscocyanate poisoning!!!!!!etc....
