The space for cooker is 60cm (W) X 60cm (D) X 90 cm (H), distance to top box above cooker is 96cm and 60cm wide, cupboards either side of space for cooker are 46cm above worktop. If you need more info please let me know. Thanks!

You need minimum 300mm clear to either side of the cooker, the surface immediately behind the cooker needs to be non-combustible, as does the surface immediately above. You also need 1200mm clear working space in front of the cooker.

You also need ventilation, minimum of 6 air changes per hour if I'm not mistaken.

The 300mm clearance to either side of the cooker refers to vertical surfaces on either side of the cooker, above the hob level. It's to give working space and minimise risk of flares from combusting adjacent surfaces.

no regs. Cooker installation spec will tell you to leave an airgap, normally about 15 mm.

Don't understanf the 300mm either side, as mentioned above. I can't think of ANY kitchen that has a foot free space either side of the cooker.

Our oil cooker produces 100 BTUs and needs a 15mm airgap, so 300mm for a brick furnace maybe, but not for a cooker.

leave 50mm either side do not put wall units above cooker position use a cooker hood with a fan filter traps greese in the steam coming of pots.adds to features aswell
