i cant play any games online,i have windows me,not sure what to do?

i ran regerster check it said there was a problem,so i clicked fix it.b4 i did that i had windows XP,after the fix i had windows ME?????????

go to start,programs.accessories,system tools,system restore.click a date before problem.click restore.now update your antivirus and ad-aware programs. IF this doesn't work or you have no restore points.
go to start,settings,control panel,system, advance tab...start up/recovery,setting button.default operating system,click list,reset it for xp.
