I keep seeing things that I know are not there, imaging everyone watching my life unfold after visiting here http://www.near-death.com/ and just facing general chaos. I'm scared of the dark, and freak out when I hear noices at nightime, like the floors creaking. My dads making me read this book about mind power and making visualisations but it hasn't started working yet. Help?

Your mind controls the bodily functions and you control the whole.
Are you able to imagine the mind as a separate? So there is you (energy/soul) and the body and what ever is in the body you the energy have over all control of. It works with belief, believe in yourself for you to believe

Imagine the mind is before you (best way to explain it) and you tell the mind what to do, like remembering something, wanting to learn, wanting to accept circumstances all requires strength and wanting to but by telling yourself (the mind) with belief in your own capabilities is how to have more control over everything, the mind is part of the everything.

Of course you're seeing things. You asked in another question how you can stay awake for 26 hours so you can study non-stop. Try sleeping normally and your paranoia will go away.

There are some exercises you could do for concentrating. I strongly suggest you to visit a psychiatrist and he could really help you too.
