What is my style?

I'm having trouble deciding what type of clothes I should wear. I know this should be my own choice but that hasn't worked too well so I'm looking for some advice on places I might like to shop or brands that I might like. I'm a 24 year old caucasian male college student (senior year) with blonde hair and blue eyes. I have a muscular/athletic build and I'm 5'10". I live in San Antonio, TX. I like heavy music (death metal, alt metal, etc.) but I never dress like it. I'm more rocker than preppy but more surfer than skater. I'm not goth....and I'm not trendy at all. I appreciate quality clothes which are fashionable yet affordable. I typically just wear whatever clothes I have and a lot of my wardrobe is, honestly, somewhat outdated. Of the more fashionable clothes I have are, some Hollister and Abercrombie tees and sweaters. I feel like my style can best be described as surfer/preppy/rocker. What would be some good places for me to update my wardrobe in my style?

If you want to look good, most people like being around others who bathe regularily and wear clean clothes. Since you are a little bit of everything, your best style is "timeless classics." Invest in well-cut and well-fitting jeans, even if they are a bit expensive. A good pair of jeans can last a long time. Then, buy some simple, well-fitting and non-baggy t-shirts. Nothing with heavy text or crazy designs. A simple white t-shirt can make a powerful statement, highlighting you as a person instead of a brand. Stick with white, light gray, soft blue, black and maybe even red. The shirts should have little or no text. Then, if you want to accessorize, buy a formal-looking tuexdo coat to put over a cool t-shirt. The look is simple and highlights you as a person, not a catagorizable brand-whore.
