You have put this question in Philosophy and not Biology which means these is a chance you will believe what I say.. Belief can change everything. In my opinion .. absolutely personal feeling. Every human being has ability to see, smell, touch, taste etc. But there must be other powers too.. when we medidate we start getting super powers. As ordinary beings if we lack something like being "colorblind" we should think why God choose to hide something from us.
Every color represents something. If you cannot see yello then concentrate on what yellow means, If you cant differentiate Red then focus on the qualities of Red color. You can develop these qualities in you by refering to some websites like colorgenics.com etc... then your mind will change .. Also we are human beings so medicines need to be taken.. consult a doctor

it is a congenital defect which can either be caused by a hereditary disease or accident such as brain dammage and can even be induced by parkinsons disease. the different types of colour blindness are results of variations in the protiens. 3 main types of colour blindness can be full colour blindness with an insensitivity to blue light, which is rare, red-green colourblindness which effects the L- and M- cones and Yellow-blue which is rare and effects the S-cone. These 3 cones percieve different wavelengths entering the eye, Long - Blueish, Middle - reddish and Short - greenish. With colourblindness, there is either a cone missing or one cone has a different peak absorbtion from normal. One other explanation is that you simply may choose to be colour blind

Actually ... I think you are not colorblind, but it's a cry for help by pretending that you are. None of us are colorblind, we see what we were born to see. Some of us don't see what is around us, color is but an extension of our awareness of our surroundings. True ? Or is the color that you do not see, deemed by your brain to not be worthy of your perception.

if your referring to people, and how you see them, i wouldnt say your colorblind, you see the colors,, but they represent no more then that to you, different colors/shades /tones,,,,, but yes some do use the word colorblind to mean non-racist/bigoted etc,,,,
if you meant in the physical sense, you cant see some colors,, this is a genetic condition,, that you inherited,

it has a purpose in survival, you need all kinds of people to do certain kinds of things, for example, color blind people can see certain animals in the forest, while others couldn't....
You can tell by some people's answers that they're not colorblind...like ,me

Perhaps you are fair and impartial in your outlook, views and judgement and therefore you ignore colouring caused by race, cast. creed and other such bias. I wish all of us could be colourblind in that sense......... much of strife and unrest we see and face today would be a thing of the past!!
