I keep having the same dream 5th time in 6 weeks.. I dont know how it starts but all of a sudden i see the 'white light' and the last time there was a male figure there, looked as though he was waiting to take me by the hand, then i wake up short of breathe. It keeps happening, anybody help me in understanding what this dream means?

i don't believe dreams predict the future but they go by things that you have thought about a lot or only occasionally. so i think that maybe it represents heaven and god. maybe you believe that there is a heaven and a god.
i don't know too much about dreams, I'm not an expert but i hope it helped :)

Your feelings when you see the white light in the dream are important.
It feels to me that there is a situation in your life at the moment whereby you feel all alone, perhaps where you feel that you have to do it all yourself. Or it could be that you feel stuck in some area or that something feels too challenging. Or some area that you have lost your confidence in.
The dream is showing you a fear you have about accepting help and embracing success. Perhaps there is a past experience which led you to mistrusting others (or even turning your back on your Higher Power/God, if you believe in this.) It sounds like you make a choice that you had to do it all alone.
The white light is symbolic of freedom/success/peace or of God (if you believe in such). The male figure is symbolic of your Higher Self ~ the authoritive part of you that knows the answers and what is best for you....a sort of Father energy that knows the best course of action.
The dream is showing you that help is there waiting for you, but that you wake up short of breath symbolises your fear and terror of accepting help.

something in your waking life is bothering you and i would say it's your health and lifesyle your unconscious is trying to tell you to take care of your self more by this dream which almost sounds like a near death experience the fact that you wake up breathless is stress related so i would question how is your health? do you smoke? drink too much? it's time to sit down and take stock maybe you should make a big lifestyle change. if it's none of the above you are probably just dealing with some sort of difficulty in your waking life that requires the assistance of someone ellse say a mentor or someone you can trust, in the dream the man is waiting for you but is he a positive presence or negative? try to think about the dream as you go to sleep tonight and you may be able to go that step further and find out if he is there to help you warn you or hurt you. Sweet dreams.

According to my dream dictionary, it suggests that you are going through a major change in your life which will help to improve your standard of living. This might be a very difficult transition but the appearance of the man at the end of the tunnel suggests that there is some support there to help you through this. Don't be afraid to accept help when it's offered.
This is not supposed to be a reading only what the book says, it's helped me with some of my stranger dreams. I hope that this helps.

i hav a lot of recureing dreams places iv not been people i dont no some filosaphys say when you dream you are in the spirit relm and should remember you are dreaming and this will bring you great gifts but all say that you should never be led by any one to any where chooseing is the only real freedom we have so we,v to fight to ceep it god bless and good dreams

You are in some sort of difficult situation,though it may not be serious.You require some help from some body ,perhaps it is from a man.You have not told him or not asked for help.The whitelight comes means that it will be known to him some how and once it is known help will come.
The dream suggests seeking help and it will come.If you are unmarried or intend to marry soon,the help may be from partner.

Now for the real answer... ...When you fall asleep your spirit is loose, the light is Gods spiritual gravity pulling you towards him, near the light would be dead friends and family, they all want you to come live the good life with them, but only one of them drew the shortest straw, the person you see is the winner. This could be a little scary, that's why your heart goes fast.

Your path in life is a little hazy, and you're having trouble finding your way while everyone else is made up, or at least you're afraid you're the only troubled one. Once you end up finding your way and knowing what direction you'll be going to, it won't be what you expected.
