which proecssor should i get?

i am customizing a laptop. which processor should i get?
i am not going to play games--maybe like a little but i wil mostly use the computer for my ipod, movies and school stuf and surfing the web and internet. they are all expensive but which one should i get? i need a fast processor so i can multitask and hav multiple windows running at the same time. so......... help! thank you in advance

First Thing I don't understand is why you are stuch with AMD.

If you are quite sure you want to buy an AMD buy AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-56 .

Seems like you are going to be using the system for basic everyday tasks. You could get by the the single core AMD Turion 64 Mobile MK-36, but I would spring for the dual-core TL-50. That will help in some multitasking and help the system to be over-all faster.
