If there is one thing I really dislike it's someone who tries to impose his, or her., beliefs onto me.Religious or otherwise.
I assume you are a Christian ? (Why would I assume that)?
But continuing with my assumption , explain to your 'victim' the meaning of the Holy Trinity, if that doesn't put them off nothing will!Maybe I have been too harsh here, perhaps you are trying to 'convert some one to your own brand of politics?
Whatever the case, there is no problem with debate, but 'debate' is a two sided affair, or it would be a lecture, same as 'conversation' (it takes two to converse)!
I am atheist, I have no doubt in my own mind that there is no God, but there is no way I could convince any religious sect to agree with me, and there is no way I would try, but I will continue to debate the subject. There is no way they could convince me I am wrong, but I will continue to listen.
Unless I think there is some sort of 'conversion' trail ongoing , it becomes just laughable at that point!
But if you are indeed a Christian, try your technic out on me first, tell me where in the Bible the Holy Trinity is mentioned?
If you are not trying to convert some one to Christianity, then know your subject, inside out, so you have all the facts that cannot be opposed, then if you like try them out on me also, if you can convert me to your way of thinking you are in with a fair shot! (And I'm nothing special).

thought this was a computer intenet question place.
But since you asked, just stop trying so hard to convert someone.
Speak your message, and those that are ready will hear it.
even if the person you send it to doesnt respond, maybe they are just not ready at this point in time.
So stop expecting an immediate submission (or conversion) as your religious group must call it, and just get out there go from what you know -- if it makes sense people will listen.
p.s. quit looking for the all inclusive method to get someone to conform,. there is no simple message, or easy way..its simply a matter of timing.
kinda like love
cant rush it...just has to happen on its own

Ok I'm assuming this is a Christianity/Religious question rather than a computer question? So I'm going to take a leap and give you a Christian answer. So if anyones going to take offence dont read it!
Just say it like it is. God loves u so much He made us for his pleasure and then when we rebelled He died so that u can be made right and go be with Him forever!
Obviously u want to tell them everything cos its such exciting stuff, but even what i said is prob too much info. U got to catch their interest otherwise they'll just run away. There's often a way to turn the conversation to God - Get their views and then tell them what u believe! (Just dont shove it down their throat).
I find the best way of ministering to my friends is to tell them testimonies. Tell them how God has blessed and helped you, (or tell other peoples experiences ie. for me God helped us loads when we went to africa on mission, and one example is my friend realised she'd just eaten loads of raw chicken and when we prayed she didnt get salmonella).
Also show them how much God loves you by caring for them in any ways you can. There's no use saying one thing and doing another!
Just make sure you dont forget to pray and let God guide you in everything you do (and words that you say - cos every person needs to be approached in different ways), and you'll be fine ;)

The problem may not be that your message is too complicated. The problem may be just that he or she isn't interested in what you are selling. Maybe you should think about respecting that.
