I'm a newbie snowboarder. I've been snowboarding for only a year, during which I didn't wear a helmet, cause I didn't have the money to buy one. However after 2 blows to the head I felt (literally) the importance of wearing one. However I'm kinda puzzled.
In my country the choice is kinda limited to Red, 661, and Arnette helmets. I'm kinda almost sure that I'll buy Red helmets, which feel more stable on my head and maybe they'll feel more comfortable on the slopes. But I need somebody who has some experience with Red's Trace or Shaun White's Trace, or some other helmet of 661 maybe. What's the main difference between the normal Trace and Shaun White's? Is it worth the few extra bucks? Have you proof tested some of the helmets on the slopes? :) Thanks in advance!

Red makes great helmets. If they fit right and feel comfortable I would totally recommend them. The only difference between the Shaun White Trace and the regular Trace is Shaun White's name. They are exactly the same.

I didn't know that 661 or Arnette made helmets so I can't really comment on those. You said those were your only choices but, just in case you see them, I really like Giro and the new Smith helmets this year in addition to the Red helmets.

i could maximum in all probability bypass with a - professional-tec, -purple, or -Smith helmet using fact they're probably the extra nicely-commonly used relied on manufacturers. it extremely is particularly uncommon to discover a snowboard helmet that would not make your head look cumbersome, yet undergo in concepts, you would be donning a cumbersome jacket which will eliminate most of the largeness look of the helmet. you additionally can bypass with a skateboard or bike helmet, wager the only distinction is that your goggles could slide around slightly, and that they don't have ear heaters.
