You think it had nothing to do with ww2, you are so very wrong. it is a world widely known fact, and confirmed by ww2 veterans, that the opening scenes of saving private ryan are the most true to life reconstructions of the d-day landings ever made. the film is the best ww2 film ever. try watching enemy at the gate, that has nothing to do with stalingrad and ww2, not.
