Well...Filipinos usually go abroad because of so many reasons.. But of course the number 1 reason is the economic situation of the Philippines. Here, you work so hard but you get a little. But in other countries especially in US or Canada or any European country, you work hard but you gain the enough compensation.. Unlike here, even professionals are not satisfied with what they are earning... It's so sad.. But I hope the government do something about this... I'm not saying that they are doing nothing at all... It's just that, everybody is wishing for a rapid change..

Philippines belong to a third world country. However, Filipinos value education alot. Most of us are college graduates.
Filipino doctors are now into the nursing course! You might probably wonder why! These doctors include bigtime doctors who are already very stable in their careers. They want to save the next generation, meaning their children & their grandchildren. Philippine politics is very unstable, CORRUPTION is the name of the game! It includes those in position from the lowest to the highest in the land. Philippines have many resources but is still in the 3rd world.
Going to the USA is every Filipino's wish. Yes, Filipinos are willing to live the comforts of their homes to work in the USA. Here in the Philippines we have maids, drivers cooks, gardeners to do dirty jobs for us. However, in the US we will be the one doing it personally.
Nurses are in demand in the USA, London, Singapore & the Middle East. Here in the Philippines, board passers work as volunteer for almost 1 year without compensation. Those working earns only around P8,000, more than $500.00. In the US, they will earn this in 3-4 days only. Not everybody will receive benefits here.
Pharmacists are also in demand in the USA, Canada & Australia. Here in the Philippines they are regarded as somebody who sells medicines. Abroad, they counsel patients & doctors ask for their advices in drug interaction! They are respected!
Pilot & teachers are also going abroad. The problem in the Philippines will be brain drain! I am sorry for this!
Filipinos working abroad will be able to buy their houses, cars & even send their children in school. If they are here, they will end up still renting & commuting!

the salary earned is much higher than in their own country. If they work abroad , they are treated as expatriates and get some special priledges that the locals does not have

It is because the value of money abroad is higher than Philippine money.
