Don't know any new singers who do?, but it might be Juliet Turner, or Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries. They both sing very loudly with strong Irish accents.

Not all of them do. I have only heard singers who sound British but I have never heard of any of them who sound like they have an American Accent.
