If a temp reaches 104-106 there are chances for seizures,brain swelling and brain damage. Give the baby some Tylenol or Advil and see if the temperature breaks if it doesn't get the baby to the hospital.

There is a possibility that high temperature will affect the brain of babies because high fever may cause meningitis and other complications but it's better to seek professional advice from doctors and not just from anybody else like us who just learn it through experience or through hearsays.

take this as something that could happen if fever is to high..
nephew runs a fever of 106* and goes in to a grandma sezieure. has done it 2 times he was about 4 then now he is 10 and when he has a fever we wonder if he will seazure again

It depends on how the temp was created and if it was direct on the baby or if it was room temp. The other point is what do you call high temp.
The simple answer is that babies do need lots of fluids at all times.

It depends on how high the temperature and how long the period of time, too high to long, yes. perhaps need to cool down.
