i can open every other bbc home page and i have never had problems viewing it before,,,, this happened about 2 weeks ago,,,i have checked my firewall and anti-virus settings but cant find any reason for for this,,,,,,, the only thing i have done is upgrade to IE7 but the page can be accessed on my wifes comp on the same network which has been upgraded to IE7 too,,,,,,any suggestions ?????

I don't know. I can open it. I looked at it yesterday. You might have some sort of blocking software shutting it down.

it sounds like a case of the page explorer on your pc has problems accessing the site its nothing to with the virus protection or your network.
I thought it could have been a problem with the server try installing a new ie explorer version as that might supplement your on your pc sounds a like fault with the page which means their is a fault with the explorer on your pc and that means you need to re install the ie explorer again...

the site has been blocked check the security level & reduce it ro medium.
