You will definately need to take a bag with you. They usually give you a list of things to bring but I'm not sure where you're writing from. Here are some things you could pack:
Toiletries for you - deodrant, shampoo, conditioner, sanitary pads, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush etc.
Nighties and underpants
Slippers
Dressing gown
Clothes for you to go home in
Clothes for your baby to go home in
They usually supply nappies but check with your hospital
And the most important thing - list of phone numbers so you or hubby can call everyone and tell them you have had the baby.
Congratulations and Good Luck!

I took each thing the newborn e book stated, and that i used very almost none of it. a substitute of clothing for coming abode--baggy and comfortable is sweet. a substitute of clothing for infant coming come, too. wellness middle will grant diapers. A nightgown or PJs that assist you to nurse, in case you advise to. (did not use mine) some substitute for merchandising gadget candies. (did not use) A paperback e book. Thank-you stationery, a pen, addresses for infant presents already received (did not use) be conscious that robbery in hospitals isn't unusual, so imagine tricky about bringing such issues as telephones, cameras, MP3 gamers, laptops, and such. you're literally not likely to be there all that lengthy, if issues flow properly, and also you'd be drained and sleep an excellent type of that element, plus marveling over that infant. you received't really want hobbies. Congratulations!

Great question.
You will need shower supplies for you.
At least 3 pairs of comfortable underwear.
A pair of very warm socks (for when you are pushing)...the room gets quite cold!!!
A tennis ball for counterpressure on your lower back is always a good thing.
Nursing pads (even if you don't plan on nursing....milk still leaks from your breasts and can be quite uncomfortable)
2 changes of clothes for you (be sure to bring nice, comfortable clothes)
An outfit to bring baby home in
Best of luck to you and your beautiful baby

There is a good list at babycenter, you can print it out and omit the things you feel unnessary. Here is he link: http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/childbirth/185.html
The most important is clothes for the baby and a car seat! The other things are to make you feel better during and after the delivery process.
