My first child was a vaginal birth, my second child was born with some handicaps and the docs felt a cesarean was necessary, well fast forward to the third pregnancy, where my twins were born at 37 weeks, and the docs felt a cesarean was necessary becuase of a "weak" uterine wall, then my fifth child was born this way as well, simply becase my last 3 were! My ob/gyn was insistent upon it, so I reluctantly did it, but then I read somewhere that there had been research done and over half the cesareans performed inthe US were not really needed, and vaginal births could have been performed instead, and that more women were choosing them instead of typical births.

I know that my mother in law had vaginal, c-section, vaginal, so it is possible. There has been a spike in c-sections because there are a lot of women out there who just don't want to go through a vaginal birth, a lot saying they don't want the stretch marks that can come with it. Yeah, it sucks, but that's what they make epidurals for, and the outcome is the same anyway. Plus, if you can do vaginal, it's better for the baby.

Yes a lot of ladies are choosing cesar for preference ut it does not stop a normal birth unless there is some complication.

You have really answered your own question as the reason that you must have cesar is because of the weak uterine wall. This makes it a lot harder for uterus birth, but if you are unsure go to another doctor and get a second opinion.

*LOL* People will get many quotes for repairs to their car but never worry about getting a second opinion when it is their own body.

Keep well

My mother had a vaginal birth with me, then a cesarean with one of my younger brothers, and then a vaginal birth with my youngest brother. The doctor never said that she had to keep having cesareans.
