yes, there was! i was in 5th grade when i had a seatmate who i found very comfortable with. he was funny (in a nice way), good in math, a gentleman, thoughtful and he was so cute! i also adored his dimples that would show everytime he smiled. it was only during vacation, though, that i realized i had a crush on him - big time. sadly, we were no longer classmates on the 6th grade. but we would exchange (or so i thought!) glances from time to time. i don't know why we stopped talking during grade 6. i had a crush on him and so i didn't have the guts to talk to him first. i guess he was my first puppy love 'coz i cried when he was hurt while playing basketball. months passed and we never talked to each other. to my surprise, on the last day of class, he went to me and said, "bye for now. thanks a lot for everything." then, just like that..he went home. i was so dumbfounded that i wasn't able to make any reply. i swear. i was like, you know...breathless. i've never seen him again since then. i'm in college now yet i usually find myself smiling whenever i think about the first guy to ever warm my heart. of course i don't plan to wait for him forever; i have a new apple of of my eyes now, you see. then again, it'll remain a special moment in my life that i will never forget. THANKS FOR THE TIME IN READING THIS. IF EVER YOU WRITE A NOVEL (OF ANY PLOT), I'LL BE INTERESTED TO READ IT. PLEASE HAVE SOME COPIES IN THE PHILIPPINES TOO, IF EVER:-).

When i was offered a place to study in university it was exhilarating.
It meant a big deal for me bcos of my family circumstances back then, i had to live with my grandma and at times be a sorta nomad hopping from a relative's place to another, they weren't glad i was living with them and didn't take care of my education and all. Most of the time they just told me i couldn't enter uni bcos of the stiif competition, so i had to prove em wrong i guess. All those negative bullish pricks who wished me ill were reduced to silence, the look on their faces was priceless. Sure it wasn't a great success, but for a pariah like me to have done better than em it made me feel like there's justice in this world.

when I fell from the roof of my house. It seems insignifican't, but I think that in the panic of actually thinking I might die if I landed on my head my life literaly flashed before my eyes. I had three distinct images of when I was very little, a teenager and present. And when I knew I wasn't dead, because it's just a one story house anyways It hit me how fast we can just "go away" from this world and how precious life is.

I was 20 years old, and after flying 'slicks', had finally been selected to join the gunship platoon in our assault helicopter company. The slicks were called the Spartans, and we were called the Gladiators. It was my first day out and as a new guy, I of course flew co-pilot in our old UH 1-B gunships. Our crew of 4 consisted of the Aircraft Commander ( on his third tour in a row in Viet Nam), our crew chief and a door gunner as well. We had been scrambled by our Company Operations to assist an infantry platoon who had been ambushed by the Viet Cong and were taking heavy fire. Upon our arrival, (a 'light fire team' consisting of only 2 gunships), we started flying very low and very slow over a 200 ft. canopy of jungle with the hope of drawing enemy fire in an effort to locate their position. At first, only the two AC's heard a few rounds of small arms being fired, and were discussing this on the VHF radios we used to talk to each other on. Then we clilmbed up and our wing man made a low pass while we covered him. He broke to his right after only 1 or 2 rounds had been fired at him as well, no hits taken of course. It was our turn again, so we did a shallow dive back into the area, and as we flattened out our dive, still at only about 40 or 50 knots of airspeed and about 10 feet over the trees, suddenly at least three VC opened up on full automatic right beside our aircraft! I could hear the sonic booms generated by the 7.62mm bullets, all 90 of them as they exploded past our ship. How they ever missed us I will never know. Our door gunner always flew with a smoke grenade in his hand with the pin pulled for just such occasions, and he simply dropped the grenade out the door to mark the VC's position and started returning fire with his M-60 machine gun. That was the day I 'lost my cherry' to enemy fire in the helicopter gun platoon.

My now husband and I were vacationing at Disney World and we had tickets to see Cirque du Soleil that night. I was in the shower getting ready and when I stepped out of the shower and started toweling off.. he came in and got on one knee and proposed. I was still dripping wet and naked and it was the weirdest most erotic thing ever!
