i don't know about how life would be better without technology but i sure know that life is better because of it. ever get sick? technology kept you alive. technology is not only cool & necessary but also essential. by the way, do you know what the word 'technology' means? you might want to approach your essay with the definition & proceed to blow away that premise that technology is not essential to growth & development. honestly. is that a trick question someone is asking of you or are they really serious? ever since cavemen & women (and definitely before), technology has been present. from a simple stick or rock to elementary writing tools, tech has been not only in earth's shadow but creates our shadow. honestly now! only an idiot or a fool or both would consider tech to be anything other than good. if they are thinking that tech is bad it's because the demented fool who uses tech to the worst doesn't mean it's bad. a car gets us from point 'a' to point 'b' but when the hands of an idiot, then all sorts of bad things can happen. guns don't kill people: people who have the guns & use them irresponsibly kill. don't blame technology on the misuse by bozo humans. which brings me back to the original question i asked: what IS the meaning of "technology". find that out & then proceed. you'll be surprised!
