It was a very detailed picture book and you had to find everything on the page that began with a, then b on the next page and so on. I think there were all the answers in the back but i'm not sure - can anyone help me out with it's name?

"The Ultimate Alphabet" by Mike Wilks.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Alphabet-Mike-Wilks/dp/1851451811/sr=8-4/qid=1164284358/ref=sr_1_4/203-9915083-6090310?ie=UTF8&s=books
The illustrations are mind-blowingly detailed, and, I seem to remember some details at the back, however, this might have been in the "answers" book, as the original was a competition. It's now out of print, but used copies are available.
To check if this is the book, visit the author's website; cover illustration here:

The ultimate alphabet. Very annoying. Kept me really busy before the days of the internet.

Oh I remember it, with really detailed pictures that were quite odd? I can't remember the name of it though.
