Yes, I think you SHOULD be at home resting. Your body is trying to grow a large placenta and a baby, and the energy that all of that consumes requires additional rest during pregnancy.

If you do not rest, like your body is telling you to do, you may harm the baby's health. Doctors may not all agree on the consequences of this, but most health professionals will agree that rest is important. My mother, a nurse, has regretted working during her pregnancy with me, and she says she can see a difference in my health as compared to my siblings with whom she did not work. I have never been as energetic, and have had more problems with allergies, etc.

Aside from actual rest, be sure that you are getting proper nutrition. B vitamins, calcium supplements, and some high-quality flaxseed oil will do you and the baby some good. As your pregnancy progresses you may find that you need to eat smaller meals, more often. In any case, make sure you eat healthfully. No fish! Fish is high in mercury and other toxins, and the FDA recommends pregnant and nursing mothers limit their intake of all types of fish, but especially larger fish like tuna. The less the better. (Research the causes of autism, if you're interested in knowing more about mercury's effects.)

Get some regular exercise, out in the sunshine and fresh air, if possible, but do not overt-exert yourself, nor should you try to do as much as before your pregnancy.

Ok i dont even know if i am pregnant BUT.....

The past week i have felt SO tired that all i want to do is curl up under my desk and have a nap!!! If you get the opportunity, have a cat nap at lunchtime, i have found that having a bit of lunch and then having a half hour siesta! is the best thing. Also - apples and bannanas, one in the morning and one at maybe 3pm - this should get you through.

Try also to get an early night, maybe 2 or three times a week go to bed an hour earlier than you normally would and MAKE THE MOST of weekend lie ins!!!

The best part of being pregnant is the fact that you can get away with ALOT!! (Breakfast in bed is a goodie!!! LOL!!!)

Good luck - get some sleep!! xxx

I agree with the first answer, eating small and healthy snacks won't fill you up or cause any crazy blood sugar drops. Try napping more often too. Sometimes exercise can energize you, so when you can take a break...take a walk. Good luck.
