vinegar is watered down acetic acid (HC2H302). It's usually 5% acidic. made from the oxidation of ethanol in wine, cider, beer, fermented fruit juice etc.

vinegar is a diluted version of acetic acid thinking to 5% w/water it reacts well with any basic compound and w/ baking soda will = C0 2 +H20. the ph depends on the dilution of water with the acetic acid. i might be wrong about the liquid after the reaction cuz it should be a salt of some kind.!!
