My wife actually brings them to her waiting room (minus the address info) Saves her tons of money on subscriptions for her office and they get read hundreds of times.
They can make a great "thank you" gift to the doctor or other professional that kept you waiting for 3 hours. I am sure you can come up with an appropriate thank you note! Maybe he will get the hint!.

There are many places that would like to have your magazines.
VA hospitals - childrens hospitals - waiting rooms of all types - some libraries - some schools - teenagers if age related material - business offices - daycare centers cut & paste with the pictures - far to many places ---- so don't throw them out!

Sure, just look in your local telephone directory for paper recyclers. They will usually pick it up for free.

Yes....just throw them in with the paper products.
Seattle pretty big on recycle.
Got a bin for yard waste.
And another for paper recycle.
A smaller bin for glass.
And finally a container for regular old garbage.
