Hi Bobs, Congrats if you have got a job in the most rapidly growing sectors at the moment and will be for the next few years, what i see as a trend is quite a lot of hopping, once a CSE has a couple of months of experience they are ready to jump on to the next for a hike, which is nice, but see everytime you jump you restart at a place designation while, maybe not moneywise, so in the long run you are CSE for a long time, i f you hang around in one place at least in the beginning say a year or so, you have a better bargain in the next one, you could be a Sr, Cse or TL and if you 're good at it you could be monitoring others calls and heading towards being a trainer, in product/ sales/ soft skills, anything, so enjoy your work be patient and keep you eyes open for the progress happening around you to be at the right place at the right time, Wipro is Wipro, for the brand, then theres IBM Daksh,Convergys,Accenture. HSBC etc.
Got to be damn good with your English for international call centres, basic mathematical and reasoing skills you'll sail through once you are in you haveto be strong to hang in there and the odd work hours all the best

call center job is not considered a high profile career these days. Just a few months ago, i read in newspaper whr thr was an article on jobs in call center, explaining that though the call centers have become a good medium of income for most of the college-going students, but at the same time they have ...... disturbed the customs and values of an Indian settings.

You can pick up any newpaper and i bet that u won't find any single newspaper that hasn't published news on the call center at any given time and those news explained how the girls are making misuse of the freedom that thr families have given them and breaking all the trusts thr parents have on them.

thr have been a lot of cases whr reports of sexual cases have been identified only in the call centers. Though, not all the girls indulge in to that stuff, but yes, most of them "ARE"..........

instead of joining a call center, why don't u give a try for that "medical transcription" job, that's much more reputed and moreover after 1 or 2 years of experience in any office, one can work at home independently and easily earn more than 25k to 30k...... very easily with only 8 hours of work daily....................

ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Bob ,

I am sure that you will agree that in a ideal job youu should have the following traits:
1 satisfying job responsibility
2 "gettable" carrer graph ( 3 yrs and 5 yrs lookout )
3 good salary
4 good work place atmosphere .

A call center will probably give u good salary and to some extent satisfying job responsibility but misearbly fails on carrer graph and good work place atmosphere . Yes I said fails on good work place atmosphere becos I don't consider booze and plenty of sex as parameters of good work place . U will join as CSE and remain "thereabouts" even after slogging for 5 yrs and working ungodly hours ( night shifts) .

I suggest work there if u must but get out of there to some regular job fast .

Thanks
