Have you ever met someone in the workplace who is constantly attention seeking, dresses inappropriately, makes up illnesses or says they have manic depression, makes up stories etc
If so what did you think of them? The one I met was so annoying

I meet people like that all the time at work but tend to allow them to grab the attention they so clearly need without judging them or encouraging them to increase their attention seeking behaviour. People such as you describe exist in all walks of life, it's not too much of a problem and I find them generally harmless, just needy.

well, i don't work now (i'm a student), but i've met somebody in a manic phase at school and she bugged the hell out of me. all she did was talk about how much she was doing and how hard she was working. she asked me how i was doing i think once and once i started to respond she started her spiel again. i must have rolled my eyes 83 times until she finally left me alone.
i'm bipolar, too, so i can sympathize, but damn, i don't think i was ever that annoying even when i was off-the-wall manic.

I have worked with people like that ... they are either generally missing attention in another part of their life or they are spoilt and used to getting unnecessary praise ... if you talk to them about their life I guess you will figure it out one way or another and you may end up ignoring it because you feel sorry for them

Oh yes. I work with one exactly like that. I used to hate her because shes so annoying. Now, I just pity her. She can't be happy.

we all like attention if it is positive or negative,we do,i don't know if i did,but if i did i just ignore them,

yup i have. makes me feel sorry for them. they such weak human beings, that they stoop to all of that...everyday!
