okay, final fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XI, XII - which is the best and why??
p/s: i don't know if final fantasy XII is out yet, coz i heard diz one guy already playing it...

number viii is the best because it has decent graphics,storyline is suberb and the characters are some of the best in the series.The gameplay is also brilliant as it breaks the traditional sterotyping battle characters eg spellcaster specialises in magic.In ffviii you can choose which character you want to do what in the junction system.Long story short the game is excellent...best in the series

My favorite was Viii, 2nd fav is Vii. I didn't like 9 or 10 at all. Not sure why, but just didn't. And I can't wait to get XII as the reviews / previews on TV look awesome.

And it's story is the best
and It's characteres are the best too

I think my favorites are VII, X, X-2, 6 and 8 and of course XII. If Choosing from them I would say X is my favorite. I would say 12 is my last favorite. You get to see your characters and can choose to fight or not fight. The graphics as usual are awesome.

Final fantasy 7, but I know final fantasy 6 would've been great if i had played that before 7...
The first I ever play was FF4, or FF2 for US. I remember it was the best at the time... It had good story

FFVII, unfortunitly it's hard for me to play those games from start to finish now. I beat ffvii at least 3 times all the way through, yes i was a complete addict. And to clear up some info yes FFXII is out, although I haven't played it. I bought FFVII: Dirge of Cerebrus, but haven't gotten to far into it yet, not your typical Final Fantasy and subsequantly not on the list.
